    Rev. Dr. (Mrs) Grace Sintim Adasi (nee Ofosuhene) was born at New Tafo Akim in the Eastern Region on March 15, 1969 to Mr. Nicholas Sintim Ofosuhene of blessed memory and Mrs. Grace Yaa Dufie Sintim Ofosuhene. She attended Ofori Panin Secondary School in the Eastern Region before proceeding to the University of Cape Coast where she had her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Religious Studies in 1994 concurrently with a diploma in Education.

    In 2000, Rev. Dr. Adasi obtained her Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in African Studies from the University of Ghana. She then went on to study for a Masters of Arts (MA) in World Heritage Studies at Brandenburg University of Technology, Germany. Her determination to achieve higher academic laurels led to her pursuit of a doctorate degree, (PhD) in The Study of Religions in 2012 from the University of Ghana. In pursuant of further learning, she graduated with a Masters in Educational Leadership and Management at the School of Continuing and Distance Education, University of Ghana. She is currently pursuing an MPhil in Educational and Innovation and Leadership Science at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology

    Rev. Dr. Sintim Adasi started her career as a tutor at Achimota School, teaching English and Social Studies. She was also the House Mistress for House 17 (Anne Baeta Jiagge). She later proceeded to the Accra Technical University (then Accra Polytechnic) where she worked as a Lecturer, rising through the ranks to become a Senior Lecturer and Department Head in the Languages and Liberal Studies Department, and also Vice Dean-School of Business & Management Studies. She joined the Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana in 2016 as a Research Fellow/Lecturer. She served as the Seminar Coordinator of the Institute of African Studies and was the Head of the Religions and Philosophy Section of the Institute.

    She is the author of the book Gender and Change: Roles and Challenges of Ordained Women Ministers in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. She has published widely in many Journals across the world.
    Her research interests are Gender, Christianity and Culture, Spirituality, Indigenous Religions, Education and Women Empowerment. With over thirty published works. Rev. Dr Adasi has made substantial contribution to advancing the research on women’s leadership roles and their encounters with the divine.
    Her latest works include Perceived stress levels and coping strategies by programme among teacher education students at University of Ghana.

    She is a member of the Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians, African and African Diaspora Women in Theology and Religion, The African Association for the Study of Religions (AASR), Yale-Edinburgh Group on the History of the Missionary Movement and World Christianity, American Academy of Religion (AAR), Association of Africa Traditional Religion and Philosophy Scholars (AATREPS), African Studies Association of Africa (ASAA) among others.
    Dr Grace Adasi was commissioned Reverend Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in August 2010 and Ordained in June 2012. As an ordained minister, she has served as the Chaplain for the National Union of Presbyterian Students from 2010-2016, Ashalaja Congregation, Faith congregation, Shiashi, Accra and finally served as the chaplain of Akuafo Hall, University of Ghana. She also volunteers as the chaplain for the Ladies with Ladles Group, an NGO that seeks the welfare and rehabilitation of adolescent drug addicts.

    Rev. Dr. (Mrs) Grace Sintim Adasi is married to Mr. William Adasi, a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Banker. They are blessed with three beautiful daughters.
