Ghanaian Afropop and dancehall star Wendy Shay has officially released her much-awaited studio album titled “Ready.” The project dropped on October 24, 2025, under Rufftown Records, marking another bold chapter in her ever-evolving career. The album shows her growth, creativity, and determination to remain one of Ghana’s leading female musicians in the Afrobeats and dancehall space.
The “Ready” album is a blend of Afrobeats, pop, dancehall, and soulful melodies. Each track reflects Wendy Shay’s confidence, her life experiences, and her message of self-empowerment. It also highlights her versatility, featuring both energetic party anthems and emotional mid-tempo songs that explore love, strength, and independence.
On this project, Wendy collaborates with some big names in African and international music, including Mavado, Olivetheboy, Tiffany, NigyBoy, and Makhadzi. Her collaboration with Jamaican dancehall legend Mavado on “Apology” has already gained massive attention across Africa and the Caribbean. Similarly, “Crazy Love” featuring Olivetheboy continues to perform well on digital platforms.
