Stonebwoy – Samankudi

Stonebwoy, the multiple award winning Ghanaian reggae and dancehall star, has released a new song titled “Samankudi.” It is track number five on his upcoming EP The Torcher, which drops on September 25, 2025.

Born Livingstone Etse Satekla, Stonebwoy started his career in 2009 and has grown into one of Africa’s most respected artists. He won Best International Act: Africa at the 2015 BET Awards and earned Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards in both 2015 and 2024. In 2025, he launched his Up and Runnin6 World Tour, performing in several countries, including shows in North America.

Beyond his music, Stonebwoy leads Burniton Music Group. He also signed with Def Jam Africa and released his well received album 5th Dimension in 2023. His music blends dancehall, reggae, Afrobeat, and Afro fusion, winning him fans in Ghana and across the globe.

“Samankudi” follows songs like “Intro,” “Torcher,” “Send Dem A Prayer,” and “Gidi Gidi (Fire)” on the EP. Details such as the producer, songwriter, and track length have not been announced. Still, its placement in the tracklist shows its importance to the project.
