Award-winning Ghanaian reggae and dancehall star Stonebwoy joined an international lineup on “Be Mah Lova,” his contribution to the Black Forest Riddim, a dancehall compilation produced by Caspa Productions. The project was officially released on 23 November 2018 and featured artistes from both Jamaica and Africa.
On “Be Mah Lova,” Stonebwoy steps away from hard-hitting dancehall and embraces a softer, more romantic approach. The song expresses the desire to build a genuine relationship with someone special, with Stonebwoy using his melodic vocals to communicate affection, commitment and admiration. His performance blends reggae melodies with dancehall rhythms, creating a record that is easy to enjoy from start to finish.

The Black Forest Riddim brought together a strong cast of artistes, including Gyptian, Wayne Marshall, Gappy Ranks, Lutan Fyah and Erup, making Stonebwoy the only Ghanaian artiste featured on the six-track project. His appearance on the riddim further highlighted his growing international presence and his ability to work comfortably alongside some of Jamaica’s established names.

Production was led by Caspa Productions, with additional production support from Mojo Majesty Entertainment Group and Rebound Production. The riddim combines modern dancehall with reggae influences, giving each artiste enough space to showcase their individual style while maintaining a consistent sound throughout the project.
By 2018, Stonebwoy had already established himself as one of Africa’s leading reggae and dancehall acts, and “Be Mah Lova” demonstrated his versatility as both a singer and songwriter. Rather than relying only on energetic anthems, he showed that he could also deliver smooth love songs without losing the authenticity that fans appreciate.
