Shatta Wale – GborGborvi Small God

Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has shared a brand-new song titled “GborGborvi Small God.” Released on 24 August 2026, the record has quickly raised questions among music fans because of its title and the timing of its arrival.

The interesting part of the release is the use of “Small God” in the title. Stonebwoy is widely associated with the name 1GAD, and considering the history between the two dancehall stars, listeners may naturally wonder whether Shatta Wale is directing the song at the BHIM Nation leader.

The timing adds another angle to the conversation. Stonebwoy recently released “Wake Up,” a song in which he speaks about people allegedly ganging up against him while he continues to stay focused on his career. Some listeners have interpreted portions of that record as possible shots at Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and sections of their respective fan bases.

With “GborGborvi Small God” arriving shortly afterwards, fans may see Shatta Wale’s latest release as a possible response to “Wake Up.” However, unless Shatta Wale directly confirms who the song is aimed at, it would be difficult to state as fact that the record is specifically a Stonebwoy diss.

What is certain is that Shatta Wale is no stranger to addressing industry conversations through his music. Throughout his career, the Shatta Movement leader has frequently turned controversies, rivalries and trending discussions into songs, sometimes responding almost immediately when his name becomes part of a public debate.

“GborGborvi Small God” therefore arrives at an interesting moment in Ghana’s dancehall scene. The title alone is likely to generate discussions between Shatta Movement and BHIM Nation fans as listeners examine the lyrics and form their own conclusions about Shatta Wale’s intended target.

Is this simply another Shatta Wale release, or has the dancehall star answered Stonebwoy’s “Wake Up” with a record of his own?
