Medikal – Sika ft. Shatta Wale

Ghanaian rapper Medikal joins forces with dancehall heavyweight Shatta Wale for a new song titled “Sika.” Produced by Atown TSB, the record reunites two artistes who have collaborated on several occasions and share a strong musical chemistry.

The title “Sika,” which means “money” in Akan, gives a clear indication of the direction of the song. Medikal delivers his verses with his usual confident rap style, touching on money, ambition and the drive to succeed. Shatta Wale comes in with his distinctive delivery, adding a dancehall influence that complements Medikal’s performance.

Their contrasting styles give the song its character. Medikal handles the rap side of the collaboration while Shatta Wale brings his recognisable vocals and energy, creating a record that crosses between Ghanaian hip-hop and Afrobeats.

Behind the production is Atown TSB, whose instrumental provides the foundation for both artistes to comfortably switch between their respective sounds. The beat keeps the record energetic without taking attention away from the vocals.

Released in October 2026, “Sika” becomes another collaboration between Medikal and Shatta Wale and adds fresh material to both artistes’ catalogues.

For listeners who have enjoyed previous records involving the two Ghanaian stars, this new collaboration offers another opportunity to hear them together.
