Ghanaian gospel musician Obaapa Christy has released a new album titled Odeneho (The Sovereign One). The album officially came out on 31 July 2025, and fans were able to pre-order it a day before its release. It features 12 well-arranged gospel tracks and plays for about one hour in total.
One of the standout songs on the album is βNo Weapon,β which appears as track number 5. The song focuses on the power and protection of God and fits well with the albumβs central message. “Odeneho” is a Twi word that means “The Sovereign One” and reflects God’s authority and greatness. Obaapa Christy, born Christiana Twene, has been a leading voice in Ghana’s gospel music scene for over two decades. In 2025, she marked her 20th year in music ministry with a concert in the UK.
