Ghanaian singer and songwriter Kuami Eugene has found himself in a tragic accident which happened on the late hours of Sunday 17th March, 2024. According to reports, his car rammed into a tipper truck. This incident happened at CP, near the DSTV office, en route to the Dzowulu traffic light in Accra.
Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, the Editor for Modern Ghana news portal was an eye witness. According to the editor, he was behind Kuami Eugene’s car when the unfortunate event happened around 11:30 PM.

In a conversation with myjoyonline.com, Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri explained that when the accident occurred, it was only one male and Kuami Eugene that were in the car. However he saw the artist struggling to come out of his care and so he quickly rushed there to offer assistance.
“I was behind him, and so I was the first person to rush to his rescue. Kwame was struggling to come out so I brought him out of the car and helped the passenger too, before some guys also came around. I arranged for a vehicle to convey them to the UGMC hospital.”
He further stated that the tipper truck was in moving but slowly when the musician collided with it from behind. He also noted that the cause of the accident is attributed to the poor lighting system on the road because some of the lights were off totally, while the tipper truck also lacked tail light worsening visibility.

The passenger who was with the “Monica” hitmaker didn’t get any physical injuries but the artist happened to have broken his arm, and also there was a cut on his lips and hips. Both were rushed to the UGMC Hospital for immediate medical treatments.
“He’s fine. He had a broken arm with blood all over his hands. The car is badly damaged and all the airbags were out. He could have died” He added.
