Ghanaian rapper Jay Bahd has called for a major overhaul of Ghana’s industrial sector to tackle the country’s high unemployment rate. He is particularly concerned about the increasing cases of armed robbery, which he links to the lack of job opportunities for many people.
Jay Bahd believes that the solution to this unemployment problem lies in creating more industries, which would provide much-needed jobs for young people. He argues that the government should focus its resources on building industrial infrastructure instead of spending on projects like schools and the National Cathedral.
According to him, Ghana has a wealth of resources and the government needs to recognize that many young graduates are unable to find jobs. Investing in industries, he suggests, is a more practical way to foster national development and reduce crime than relying solely on prayers.
He also mentioned that Ghana has plenty of land that could be used for industrial development. By doing so, the country can effectively address the unemployment issue and reduce the rate of armed robbery, which is often a result of joblessness among educated youths.
