Ghanaian hip-hop and Hiplife artist Kweku Flick recently expressed that he doesn’t mind engaging in rap battles, known as “beefs,” as long as they don’t involve disrespect towards his mother.
Kweku Flick, whose real name is Andy Osei Sarfo, made it clear that while he can handle insults directed at him, he draws the line when it comes to his mother. If anyone disrespects his mother, he won’t hesitate to confront them personally and physically retaliate. He emphasized that his mother holds a special place in his life, and any disrespect towards her is unacceptable.
During an interview on the Gh Highlife show with Ohemaa Acheampomaa on Onua FM, Kweku Flick explained his stance. He stated, “If you insult me, I will not mind you, but if you extend it to my mom, then you’ve crossed the line. I will come to your house and beat you. I don’t want to have troubles with the police, so I will neither injure you nor kill you. But be rest assured I will beat you, I will whip you like a student being disciplined by his teacher.”

Kweku Flick, one of the early pioneers of the Ghanaian Drill music genre known as Asakaa, also shared how fame has changed his behavior. He admitted that he used to be quite rebellious and even a bully during his school days. However, gaining fame made him reconsider his actions because he understands that many young people now look up to him as a role model.
“Sometimes I’m tempted to revert to my old ways. To be frank, I was very stubborn and even a bully in school. I was a stubborn boy, but fame has changed me. I realized that many young people look up to me, which prompted the change,” he added.
