Renowned Ghanaian musician Kwabena Kwabena has firmly stated that he will not be involving himself in any political campaigning for the upcoming elections, expressing his disinterest and exhaustion with political affairs.
In an interview on TV3’s ‘New Day’, the artist behind the hit song “Aso” emphasized that he is distancing himself from political engagements, including abstaining from creating any songs specifically for political parties.
“I am completely out of politics. I am Ghanaian,” he declared when questioned about his potential involvement with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the forthcoming general election.
It’s worth remembering that back in 2016, Kwabena Kwabena openly campaigned and endorsed the New Patriotic Party’s bid for power. However, in his recent interview, the artist made it abundantly clear that he has stepped away from political involvement, marking a shift in his stance.
