Asafo Powers – Killer Ne Hwan ft. Ypee, Lami Jnr & Pinto Black

Ghanaian recording artiste Asafo Powers has brought together three musicians, Ypee, Lami Jnr and Pinto Black, on a collaborative single titled “Killer Ne Hwan.” The song was officially released on August 21, 2026, adding another recording to Asafo Powers’ growing catalogue.

The three-minute, eleven-second track brings together four Ghanaian talents, making it an interesting release for listeners who enjoy discovering collaborations within the country’s contemporary music scene.

“Killer Ne Hwan” is a Twi expression that can be understood as “Who Is the Killer?” Its attention-grabbing title gives the recording a distinctly Ghanaian identity, reflecting the use of local expressions in contemporary music.

The single is classified under Pop on Apple Music and is distributed under the Asafo Powers name. It arrives as an independent release rather than part of a confirmed album or extended play.

One of the main attractions of “Killer Ne Hwan” is the involvement of Ypee, a Ghanaian rapper who has established himself within the country’s hip-hop community.

Known for his connection to Kumasi’s rap scene, Ypee has earned recognition through his solo recordings and collaborations with other Ghanaian musicians. His participation introduces a familiar name to Asafo Powers’ latest musical offering.

Lami Jnr and Pinto Black complete the lineup, contributing to a recording that highlights the importance of collaboration among musicians operating within Ghana’s independent music industry.

For Asafo Powers, working with three other artistes provides an opportunity to introduce his music to listeners who may already be familiar with the featured performers.

His previous releases include “Woso,” featuring Rap Fada, and “NGWE,” featuring Last Hero. These recordings form part of a catalogue that has continued to expand through individual singles and collaborative projects.

“Killer Ne Hwan” follows that direction by placing multiple musicians on one record, offering their respective audiences a common release to explore.

The collaboration also reflects the active role of independent musicians in Ghana’s entertainment industry. Through digital distribution, artistes can make their recordings accessible beyond their immediate communities and connect with music lovers across different regions.

Listeners familiar with Asafo Powers’ earlier songs can explore this release alongside his previous work, while followers of Ypee, Lami Jnr and Pinto Black have another collaboration to add to their playlists.

With its four-artiste lineup and memorable title, “Killer Ne Hwan” is another Ghanaian release worth checking out.
