“Agba Adugbo” opens The Backie Tape with commanding confidence. The song’s title, meaning “boss of the neighborhood,” sets the tone for a record about dominance, respect, and survival in a competitive world. Yaadman’s deep patois-infused delivery blends seamlessly with AfroJunkie’s heavy-hitting percussion and layered synths, giving the track an air of authority and movement.
The song celebrates hustle culture and earned wisdom — a declaration that true influence comes from resilience and consistency, not noise. Yaadman balances street realism with sharp wordplay, creating a sound that’s as powerful in the club as it is in the headphones.
