– Stonebwoy has said the vehicle Bulldog almost took from him belongs to him [Stonebwoy] – He said he would not have joined Zylofon Media if a dancehall artist of his caliber was sign with them – He said he fired shots in self-defense on Saturday Ghana’s internationally renowned reggae and dancehall artist, Livingstone Etse Setekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has shed a little more light onto the current situation between himself and Zylofon.

Following Saturday night’s reported incident at Champs, where Stonebwoy’s car – a Mercedes Benz – was almost taken from him by a group of men led by Zylofon Media’s Bulldog, Ghanaians have been itching to know exactly what’s going on between Zylofon and Stonebwoy.

Not just that, several reports last week already hinted that the “Baafira” hitmaker was unhappy with the current situation at Zylofon, and was on his way out. During a telephone interview with HITZ FM’s King Lagazee, Stonebwoy urged fans and well wishers to be patient, and that all the proper information will come out at the proper time. Asked if the vehicle Bulldog attempted to take belongs to him, Stonebwoy said the vehicle was indeed his. He said he bought the vehicle in the United States (US), and that it bears his late mother’s initials, “AA”. In a series of comments that almost confirms that not all is well between the dancehall artist and Zylofon Media, Stonebwoy would not confirm or deny rumor that he has left Zylofon Media.

Asked if he indeed discharged his weapon on Saturday night, Stonebwoy responded by asking a rhetorical question

“Have you heard of self-defense before?” said Sonebwoy. He also described what happened on Saturday as a form of armed robbery, and repeated the fact that his manager, Black Cedi, is following up on the matter. Show host, King Lagazee, also read a question from reggae group, Morgan Heritage’s road manager, who asked if Stonebwoy would have signed up to Zylofon Media if there was already a dancehall artiste of his caliber. In response, the “Higher” hit-maker said he would not have signed up with Zylofon Media if a dancehall artiste of his level was already with them. He did also say that Zylofon Media’s decision to sign more dancehall artistes ought to be respected. Stonebwoy went on to answer a question regarding who has ownership of his most recent album, Epistles of Mama, saying that the album is his, and that it was recorded in his own studio, in his own house.
