Ofori Amponsah – Jane (Remix) ft. Kurl SongX

Ghanaian highlife musician Ofori Amponsah, affectionately called Mr All 4 Real, has revisited one of the memorable songs associated with his early musical journey, introducing “Jane (Remix)” featuring talented vocalist Kurl SongX.

The collaboration brings together two generations of Ghanaian singers, connecting Ofori Amponsah’s long-standing contribution to highlife with Kurl SongX’s experience in contemporary Ghanaian music.

“Jane” holds a special place in Ofori Amponsah’s recording history because of its connection to legendary musician Daddy Lumba. The original recording featured both artistes and appeared on Daddy Lumba’s Wo Ho Kyere project.

His career gained considerable attention following his early association with Daddy Lumba, a partnership that introduced his singing abilities to a wider audience.

Over the years, he established an independent career with recordings such as “Otoolege,” “Emmanuella,” “Odwo” and “Alewa” featuring Sarkodie.

His distinctive vocal approach and contributions to contemporary highlife have earned him recognition among listeners across different generations.

The decision to revisit “Jane” introduces another chapter to a recording associated with that musical history.

Kurl SongX, who joins him on the remix, first gained national recognition after winning the fifth season of MTN Hitmaker in 2016.

He subsequently attracted attention with “Jennifer Lomotey,” his collaboration with Sarkodie, produced by Kaywa.

His involvement in “Jane (Remix)” connects him with an established highlife musician whose work has influenced Ghana’s popular music landscape.

The collaboration is particularly interesting because both performers have experience recording songs centred on love and relationships, although the remix’s specific musical arrangements and lyrical changes have not been independently confirmed.

For longtime supporters of Ofori Amponsah, the release provides another opportunity to revisit a familiar title from his earlier career.

Younger listeners who discovered Kurl SongX through his previous recordings can also explore the collaboration and its connection to Ghanaian highlife history.

“Jane (Remix)” adds another recording to Ofori Amponsah’s catalogue, linking an established song with a different featured vocalist.
