Lasmid & N.E Records – Mmrɛ (Time)

Ghanaian singer and songwriter Lasmid has teamed up with N.E Records for a song titled “Mmrɛ (Time),” adding another recording to his growing collection of music in 2026.

The song is produced by MogBeatz (M.O.G Beatz), with Lasmid handling the vocal performance and songwriting.

“Mmrɛ,” an Akan word meaning time, gives the recording a title that Ghanaian listeners can easily recognise. Time is an important part of everyday life, influencing decisions, opportunities and the different stages people experience.

Although the title suggests an interesting subject, the song’s complete message is best understood through Lasmid’s lyrics.

The recording continues his working relationship with N.E Records, which has been involved in several of his recent releases.

The Takoradi-born musician first attracted national attention after winning the eighth season of MTN Hitmaker in 2019.

His career gained further momentum with the success of “Friday Night,” which became one of his most popular recordings and introduced his music to a wider audience.

Since then, he has continued exploring different musical directions while maintaining his presence in Ghana’s Afrobeats and hiplife scenes.

His 2026 activities have included releases such as “Biggest Nathaniel” and “Liquor Store,” both associated with N.E Records.

“Liquor Store,” released in August 2026, also featured production from M.O.G Beatz, making “Mmrɛ (Time)” another recording involving the producer and singer.

Their continued collaboration reflects the working relationship between Lasmid and the creative team behind his recent music.

For “Mmrɛ (Time),” Nathaniel Ladsmid Owusu receives the composition and lyricist credits, identifying him as the songwriter responsible for the recording.

MogBeatz handles the studio production, contributing the instrumental arrangement that supports Lasmid’s performance.

The song arrives during an active period for the musician, who has also announced his first major headline concert in Accra for December 2026.

For supporters who have followed his journey from MTN Hitmaker to his recent releases, “Mmrɛ (Time)” provides another opportunity to enjoy his music.

It also adds to the collection of recordings released through his association with N.E Records.
