Criss Waddle – Fly Girl ft. Olivetheboy

Ghanaian rapper Criss Waddle teams up with talented singer Olivetheboy for a new song titled “Fly Girl.” The collaboration connects Criss Waddle’s rap style with Olivetheboy’s melodic approach, giving listeners a record that brings two different sides of Ghana’s contemporary music scene together.

“Fly Girl” is built around admiration and attraction, with the musicians directing their attention towards a confident and stylish woman who easily catches their interest. Rather than relying on one sound throughout the record, the song moves between rap and melody as both artistes contribute in their own way.

Criss Waddle handles his verses with the confidence listeners have come to associate with his music. His delivery sits comfortably over the beat, while Olivetheboy introduces a softer melodic element with his distinctive vocals. Their contrasting approaches give the collaboration its character and help keep the song interesting from one section to another.

The instrumental combines smooth basslines and gentle percussion with a clean contemporary arrangement. This creates enough room for the vocals to remain prominent while maintaining the rhythm needed to give “Fly Girl” its easy-going feel.

The collaboration also provides an interesting meeting point between an established name in Ghanaian rap and one of the younger voices making an impact with melody-driven records. Their chemistry allows “Fly Girl” to work naturally without either artiste losing his individual identity.

For listeners looking for fresh Ghanaian music, “Fly Girl” offers a combination of rap, melody and an accessible theme that makes it suitable for different playlists.
