Sometimes it takes months for our biggest acts to clock a million views on YouTube and when they do, they celebrate it like it’s Christmas. On these grounds, upcoming Ghanaian songstress Demsy has expressed her frustrations towards the issue.
Using Sarkodie as a case of study, she stressed that, if our biggest acts are struggling to make such numbers then the fate of upcoming acts are as bleak as a dead forest. There’s no future for them. Demsy is also victim of this cancer as she’s also struggling to hit average numbers as well.
She called for imminent solutions to this problem because per our assessment, the highest most viewed music video by a Ghanaian artiste got nothing on the average numbers our counterparts are pulling. Years won’t be enough to break our own record for most views on a single video because it came by luck.
