Gyakie – Your Body (Craze)

Ghanaian songstress Gyakie has returned with a new song titled “Your Body (Craze),” adding another release to her catalogue of contemporary African music. The record brings attention back to the singer’s creative journey and her ability to connect with listeners through music that explores relationships, attraction and personal emotions.

Born Jackline Acheampong, Gyakie has established herself as one of Ghana’s recognised female recording artistes, attracting audiences both locally and internationally. Her music draws from Afrobeats, R&B and other African influences, giving her a distinctive identity within the industry.

“Your Body (Craze)” introduces another title centred on the excitement and emotional intensity often associated with romantic attraction. The song’s name suggests a fascination with someone special, a subject that fits naturally into the relationship-focused music for which Gyakie has become popular.

Since gaining widespread recognition with her breakthrough single “Forever,” Gyakie has continued building her career through original recordings, collaborations and performances. Her success with the song introduced her to a much larger audience and helped establish her presence beyond Ghana.

The singer subsequently released projects including SEED and MY DIARY, demonstrating her interest in developing a recognisable musical identity rather than relying entirely on the success of one record.

Her collaborations with other African musicians have also contributed to her growing reputation. Working with artistes from different musical backgrounds has allowed her to reach new audiences while maintaining a strong connection to Ghanaian music.

With “Your Body (Craze),” attention returns to Gyakie’s individual artistry and the musical direction she continues to explore. The release gives her supporters another opportunity to follow her progress and discover material from her expanding catalogue.

Gyakie’s contribution to contemporary Ghanaian music has been particularly important in a period when female musicians are increasingly gaining recognition across African streaming platforms and international stages.

Her ability to combine accessible melodies with themes familiar to everyday listeners has remained an important part of her appeal. Songs about affection, relationships and personal experiences have helped her establish a connection with fans who appreciate contemporary African love music.

For listeners who have followed Gyakie since “Forever,” the new record offers another addition to their playlists. Those discovering her music for the first time can also explore her earlier releases to appreciate the development of her sound.
