The Nigerian Afrobeats powerhouse and cultural storyteller, Barry Jhay, has officially honored his lineage with a high-fidelity and traditional masterpiece titled “Fuji Explosion.” Released on February 13, 2026, under Ziiki Media to celebrate his birthday, this record finds the “Aiye” hitmaker switching to a new tempo that leans heavily into his Fuji roots while maintaining a world-class, contemporary appeal.
The song is a spectacular masterpiece that thrives on a rhythmic grit and a polished production that blends the hypnotic pulse of the talking drum with modern Afrobeats. Barry Jhay delivered as usual, utilizing his soul-stirring vocals and Yoruba heritage to pay a powerful tribute to the genre pioneered by his late father, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. “Fuji Explosion” is definitely a playlist starter that serves as an amazing and soothing single for your listening pleasure, bridging the gap between the golden era of Fuji and the 2026 soundscape.
