Masicka, the Jamaican dancehall artist, has released a new song called “Keys.” It was produced by 1Mind and is available via Def Jam / UMG. The track runs about 2:44, though some platforms list it closer to 2:34.
On the technical side, 1Mind handled programming and engineering. Westen Weiss provided extra production, programming, and background vocals. Mario “Dunw3ll” Dunwell took care of mixing and mastering. The songwriters include Javaun Fearon, Mac Sutphin, and Masicka himself.

“Keys” comes at a time when Masicka is very active. He recently featured on “Hit & Run” with Shenseea and has been working on his projects and making festival appearances. His involvement with Def Jam has also helped raise his international profile.
When you listen to “Keys,” expect a crisp beat with room for Masicka’s voice to shine. The production leans modern dancehall, but it gives space for the lyrics and vocal delivery to be felt.
