Ghanaian gospel singer, songwriter, and producer Nacee, known in real life as Nana Osei, has released an emotional new song titled Tribute to the 8 Fallen Heroes. He recorded this song to honour the Ghanaian minister and officials who sadly lost their lives in a helicopter crash in early August.
On August 6, 2025, a Ghana Air Force Harbin Z-9 helicopter crashed near Obuasi in the Ashanti Region. All eight people on board died. Those on the flight included Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Limuna Mohammed Muniru, NDC Vice Chairman Samuel Sarpong, former parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye, and three crew members. The crash shook the whole country, and the government declared it a national tragedy. Flags across Ghana were flown at half-staff as the nation mourned.[irp posts=”137551″ ]
Nacee’s song expresses deep sorrow and respect for the victims, while also offering comfort to their families and the entire nation. The track lasts about two minutes and thirty-three seconds and is available on his official YouTube channel. Known for producing and writing his own songs, Nacee has once again delivered music that speaks directly to the heart.
This tribute is more than a song. It is a moment for Ghanaians to remember, reflect, and stand together in honour of these eight heroes. Share it with friends and family so that their memory will live on.
