Ghanaian singer Gyakie recently expressed her reservations about being romantically involved with someone in the music or creative industry. In a recent interview with 3FM, the singer highlighted the complexities that can arise when two individuals in the same profession are in a romantic relationship.

She emphasized that while love is undoubtedly a beautiful thing, navigating romantic connections within the same field can present unique challenges. Gyakie admitted that while love can be unpredictable, she personally would not currently consider dating someone in the music industry.

Reflecting on her own experiences, Gyakie shared the inspiration behind her latest single, ‘December.’ She revealed that the song stemmed from a period of disappointment and heartbreak she experienced with a special someone. She explained that she wrote the song during a melancholic moment in Paris, pouring her emotions into the lyrics to process her feelings.

During the interview, Gyakie elaborated on the origin of ‘December,’ describing it as a product of a broken heart. She emphasized that every word in the song is a direct expression of her emotions, stemming from the disappointment she faced. Gyakie indicated that the song’s lyrics encapsulate the story of her personal experience, allowing listeners to connect with her emotions on a deeper level.
